$10,000 Grant for Pitch Contest Winner
The Conscious Capitalism Chapter of Northeast Ohio, along with the soon to be launched Co-Lab incubator, the Corporate Roundtable of the Sustainable Business Center at Cleveland State University and the Conscious Venture Lab are presenting a conscious capitalism boot camp and pitch competition for emerging early stage entrepreneurs in Cleveland! Boot Camp Cleveland / Powered by Conscious Venture Lab will be held on October 27th, 2016 on the Campus of Cleveland State University. The Boot Camp is an intense day-long workshop based on the insights of the ground breaking book, Conscious Capitalism: Liberating the Heroic Spirit of Business by Professor Entrepreneurship Raj Sisodia and Whole Foods CEO John Mackey. The tenets of Conscious Capitalism are a main part of the curriculum of the Conscious Venture Lab, a leader in the movement to help entrepreneurs turn their missions into competitive advantage.
The day will end with all companies in the Boot Camp pitching their businesses and ideas to a panel of judges as they compete for a $10,000 grant as a part of the nationwide Conscious Venture Lab Cup competition.
Next year each local winner will join the finals of the competition in Baltimore where they will compete for a major grant and opportunity to meet with other investors and business partners.
If you are building a mission-driven business in Cleveland this is the event for you! In an attempt to “Seed prosperity in undiscovered places” the Boot Camp is particularly ideal for female entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs of color as well as returning veterans. Applications are open now and you can apply here!
